I was born in Kansas City, Missouri. A compulsive
scribbler, one or two sketchbooks were necessary accessories
wherever I went and for years were essentially extensions
of my anatomy. As much time as possible, and often more, was
spent filling them with complex, surrealistic drawings done
in pencil and rapidograph pen.
In 1972 I moved to San Francisco where my art habit finally
began to feed me - I began a quarter of a century's involvement
in Bay Area graphics and publishing that continues to this
day. In 1988 I got my first computer - a Mac SE with black
and white bitmapped graphics, 4 megs of RAM, two floppy drives
& no hard drive. Mac-based illustration quickly became a vital
portion of my creative palette, and since then the computer
has become my primary tool and instrument. I currently operate
a PPC Mac G4, and Dell Optiplex GX1p running Win2K.
